![]() ![]() To simulate and model an aircraft, FlightGear may require a number of coordinate systems. The origin is positioned at a given location in the world coordinate system. Each of the three dimensional objects making up the model is positioned relative to a 3d origin (0,0,0). Each model is placed in this three dimensional world, but also may be (and generally is) composed from one or more three dimensional objects. I will call this the FlightGear World Coordinate system, which this document will only touch upon.
